How We Improved Conversion Rates with Engagement Popups

We worked with Clare Florist to improve their sales and conversion rates by engaging with visitors who looked like they needed a little nudge.

We redeveloped the Clare Florist website in 2019, and we continue to work with them every month to improve their search engine visibility, their website performance and ultimately their sales.

This month we added a new tool to the website, which we hope will result in more engagement with unconverted site visitors.   We created a system of clever pop-up prompts which are shown to the right people at the right time to nudge them towards placing an order.  Different types of prompts are shown on different pages to different visitors, depending on their behaviour.  For example, on a certain page, if a visitor starts scrolling back up to the top of the page (which can signal they are about to leave, or go back) a message is shown with a discount code, to encourage them to make a purchase.

Clare Florist can manage these prompts in their CMS, and they can also view impression and click reports to keep an eye on how they are working.  We also integrated the smart popups with their Google analytics account so that they can see how many additional sales (and the sales value) they have made as a result of these prompts.

So far the results are looking good, with the pop ups generating more than 50 new orders a week. By combining data, insight and intelligence, we have turned visitors into valued customers.
